China GT will embrace a new slick look in trophy design. It’s cool, it’s hip, and it’s here to stay for 2019.
Overall Class Top Three Trophies
The trophy is designed to mimic the the outline of a flowing race track. From an angle, it also looks like an approximation of the letters ‘GT’, as well as the symbol for infinity ∞, which is a good omen for long term success of the championship.
Pro/AM and AM/AM Class Top Three Trophies
The trophy embraces a nice, clean look that is shaped like the winglets on a race car. It is also made of carbon fibre material, representing the light-weight and performance-driven designs of super cars in GT racing.
Trophies for One-Make Classes, Fastest Lap Awards and Team Wins
The rough edges on the trophy symbolise the obstacles that teams have to overcome to achieve success. Its also shaped like a torch to convey the spirits of the Olympic flame.
