On 12th and 13th May, the start of the 2017 China GT Championship was ushered in at the Beijing Audi Goldenport Motor Park. This year’s China GT line-up is even better than before, with several new teams joining the event. Top Speed is one of these new teams.

As one of the new faces of the 2017 season, Top Speed completed their China GT debut during the Beijing race weekend. Top Speed’s Taiwanese drivers Chen Junhua and Li Yueqin represented the team in the #15 Audi R8 LMS CUP.

Chen Junhua and Li Yueqin were unable to finish the first round race. In round two, despite a starting position of sixth place, the duo put in a remarkable performance. They stayed hot on the heels of their opponents and managed to remain in the front half of the group, even managing to climb to fourth place. Unfortunately, Chen Junhua and Li Yueqin were forced to retire from the race after a malfunction with their car at the midway point in the race.

Although Top Speed did not achieve a perfect Beijing weekend, they still gave us many unforgettable moments. Let’s hope they can show off their true strength in the next round!
