The 2017 China GT Championship is shaping up to be more exciting than ever: with RMB 7,000,000 (USD 1 million) in prize money at stake and all eyes on the championship titles, how does China GT ensure a fair and just race for drivers, teams and fans alike? To achieve this, China GT will deploy world-class data acquisition equipment provided by AiM, as well as professional racing support team from MEMOTEC.

MEMOTEC is a Germany based professional racing services provider with a focus on data acquisition and analysis, who will be conducting scrutineering and BOP for China GT in 2017. A professional team of experts will also require the most advanced equipment. AiM Tech is a world leader in motor sports and race data acquisition technology, with a portfolio of products serving karting, motorcycles, circuit racing and rowing. In 2017, China GT will equip each car with an AiM Evo5 data logger and other accessories to ensure fairness.

Evo5 data logger provides crucial data for scrutineering. Using LCU-One Lambda Controller to provide all Air/Fuel data, Evo5 helps Scrutineers examine the fuel quality on each car and eliminates usage of prohibited additives.

The pressure sensor takes samples of air pressure of the air intake system to detect any additional air intake ducts. In addition, it measures the size of the restrictor and the turbo engine pressure, to provide crucial data for BOP.

AiM’s Data Hub is a new CAN connection multiplier that works as an interface between all AiM loggers and their peripheral equipment, for example, the suspension position sensor, to analyse and BOP a car’s down force.

SmartyCam is designed for motorsports to providing great videos that include all the technical information that provides important information for Stewards to make decisions in case of accidents or breach of regulations.  SmartyCam also overlays all the data needed from different sources, providing the audience a full picture of the race.
